Reviews for MULBERRY TREE, MALVERN

Pretty abysmal tbh. Sunday lunch completely without flavour. Gravy just brown coloured water. Luke warm food served on cold plates. Poor beer selection, only one real ale. despite the promise of three. The chef was too pompous to accommodate medium cooked roast beef, not really a chef judging by the quality of the food - just a reheater. Worst Sunday lunch experience we've ever had, we will not return.

I came here for afternoon tea early last year. Probably the worst afternoon tea I've ever had. Couldn't stomach the inedible sandwiches so ate the sweet items which were alright, nothing spectacular. The bread for the sandwiches was incredibly stale and absolutely lathered in margarine (yuck)! The aluminium tea-pots were incredibly stained. Disappointing experience given how positive the reviews were regarding afternoon tea. Maybe they were having an off-day...

Visited last night for the first time, enjoying a pre-theatre dinner, with my parents and we all had a really lovely time. The food was delicious, catering for an off the menu selection as well as enjoying their recommended fish & chips. Lovely selection of hot and cold drinks, and all served by an extremely friendly and professional team who made us feel so welcome, and in a really comfortable and contemporary restaurant. Will definitely be going back and recommending to friends. Dietary restrictions: As discussed and agreed with both the Receptionist and Chef, I was made a delicious chicken salad during dinner service, which was not on the main menu. Parking: Need to register your car upon entry, and quite a limited size so don't go expecting a space.

No disabled toilet. We are locals and will pop into the Mulberry Tree from time to time, the service is good and the food nice but something that is overlooked and a real problem for us is the lack of a disabled loo. We will keep coming back to the Mulberry tree as we enjoy it but what would make it perfect is if it could be made accessible to those with disabilities. Wheelchair accessibility: Poor with no disabled loo.

Called in for lunch, very pleasant atmosphere and ambiénce, Maitré D was a friendly, helpful, and charming guy, professional to a tee. I was slightly disappointed in the lunchtime menu selections available (hence 4 stars, not 5), as it was mainly burgers, steak, or Fish and chips for the mains. Evening selection is much more varied. Sandwiches served to a nearby table looked fantastic. My fault, I should have checked the menu first. That said, we opted for steaks, which were very nice, mushrooms and tomatoes that accompanied the steaks were full of flavour, the chips were very nicely cooked and presented too. Sometimes a meal is as much about the occasion as it is the food (no complaints) and we had a very enjoyable lunch. I would certainly call again if we were in the area.

Good quality food and friendly service. The choice of whisky can be improved. We enjoyed our choice of meal. The price is reasonable around £35 per person.

Enjoyable quick early evening dinner at The Mulberry Tree. Nice ambiance, (even good playlist playing music!). This place has a nice feel about it. Tucked away at the top of Great Malvern. I had the Cheeseburger (Brioche bun), topped with Camembert and onion marmalade. Parmesan truffle skinny fries and a Citrus Fruits Cheesecake. All lovely.

The place is really nice and and cosy. The food was really good, we had Gressingham duck and a venison burger. Both we really good. Personal preference was that the BBQ sauce was a bit too smokey and killed the flavour of the venison. This my personal opinion and is no reflection on the quality of the food. Really yummy would happily go back. Very reasonable when it comes to price too.

I ordered the duck. It was delicious. really enjoyed it. I did also order a side of veg and I'm glad I did as the dish definitely needed something. Would of been nice of there was a few more of the polenta fries and included some vegetables but was good all the same. Very welcoming atmosphere, staff were lovely and attentive.

Came to Malvern Worcestershire on a day trip for my nephew's SAT exams, whilst he was doing his stuff, my sister and I wondered over after searching best places for breakfast in Malvern and this restaurant came back as no 3. We headed down and the overall experience was good. The location is on a very very very busy high road so parking is an issue, we had to park along the road and coming out of the spot was like redoing your driving test 😀 On arrival there was a very hardworking lady who was the only one present waiting the tables, she was pleasant as well forgot her name but she held things down...kudos to her 👌🏼 The food was brilliant and please note, teas/coffees and toast is not included in the breakfast charge. Those cost more. Tables were well spaced out, I guess for social distancing reasons, as there are also guests staying in the house, there was a steady flow of people. Very tasty meal I must say, I enjoyed the hash browns the most. I would visit again if am around there for a proper meal this time I suppose👍🏼
