Lovely place, with excellent customer service. I came in during a long ride because one of my shoes had become stuck to my pedal. The friendly staff sorted it out quickly and inexpensively and helped us on our way. Highly recommended!

I arrived having snapped my chain mid ride. They were kind enough to skip me to the front of the queue and in half an hour had replaced my chain, fixed my derailleur and chain catcher and had my gears shifting smoother than they were before. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

I recently purchased a bike from another shop. Unfortunately it had an issue with the way the rear derailleur was set up. After looking at the glowing reviews online, I decided to give Detour a try. Matt was completely transparent. He told me when he was going to look at it and how much it would cost. On the day he said was going to look at it, I receive a phone call from him to say he's fixed it and I can collect the bike. Now the bike has zero issues and the gear changes are really smooth. To top it off his services were excellent value for money. I feel like a shill saying this, but everyone in the local area should use Detour when they have issues with their bike. Very happy customer.

Absolutely superb service from Matt. Really helpful and pleasant guy, who goes above and beyond any previous LBS I have been to. I had a bit of a rush to get a recent bike build checked over, gears indexed, brakes balanced etc in time for a professional bike fit later in the week. He managed to fit me in, despite a 2 week backlog of work (that itself is an indication of his popularity and expertise-he is obviously in great demand), working into the night to get my bike ready by the next day. Cant think of any bike shop I have been to in the past that would do that. A really excellent service from a top bloke. I would highly recommend his services.
